02/26/08) Client: ( Activision / Dreamworks (KUNG FU PANDA GAME SITE) )
I was responsible for all ends of development, except for the Mini-Game and the Widget. The site is localized in ten languages accross 14 countries, and also provides deeplinking capablilities from the use of SWFAddress 2.0. This is a very thorough site that provides alot of content. The site is aimed at children ages 13 and under, so special accomodations were required. The training hall features 14 lessons that can be completed at the end-users pace. They a choose a character from the game, to represent their login ID, and we generate a random password such as apple106z. We do this because we cannot capture any information from children of this age demographic.

02/26/08) Client: ( Activision (Enemy Territory Re-skin) )
I was responsible for ammending old functionality to work with the new skin, as well as to create new functionality for additional requested features. The most interesting part was extending the already written "FLASH DEEPLINKING" system to include subsection deeplinking within a standard deeplink. The project is done in AS 2.0 and is and is written in OOP format. It is a smart site with style and edge.

I was responsible for flash relations to a backend script which allows for registering for a newsletter. I also ammended many things about the project, but I did not create it from "The ground up". When I started working at streetwise this was one of the first projects that came accross my radar. This teaser-site is localized in five languages accross fourteen countries.

This was a simple XML driven news reader. The client has full control over date, title, a thumbnail, and content for each article. Though it is a simple news reader, it is very dynamic and serves its purpose flawlessly.

Bram Timmer, now a part of fitc, had me build five modules for the site. The modules consisted of an XML driven news reader, an XML driven events viewer, an audio unit for basic playback, an XML driven picture gallery with slideshow capability, and a direction module that uses google map to display directions from an inputed point, to fitc.

Bram Timmer of beside.ca came to me yet again with an amazing design, rich with color and imagination, and demanding many dynamic aspects of the site to be controlled by the client. All Text on the site is stored in a mySQL database and parsed by a php file that flash calls. With this system I built an admin control panel where the client can change any text on the site, as well as set other things like audio effects, first movie to play, etc. I was responsible for all code and functionality, as well as the preloading sequence. The works section is completely XML driven and is also controlled by the client.

This project was yet another collaboration with Bram of beside.ca. Bram laid out a wonderful design and I handled all of the code and functionality. The site features intelligent preloading, smooth and seemless transitions, and dynamic xml based thumb nail / picture gallery. The contact section features a fully functional contact form that uses php to send the email from the flash document.

Interactive flash Movie that serves as the landing after clicking a Kraft's banner located on places such as Oprah.com. The media for this project was especially fun to work with because it was done by the company that did the animation "Chicken Run", the popular childrens movie. All banners were created by Bram Timmer of Beside.ca. Pixeldev was responsible for the code, functionality, and animation of the "EXPLORE THE BARN" section that you see on Kraftsingles.com with use of provided static media. |
